The Psalmist writes, "Praise the Lord! I will
praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the
assembly of the upright and in the
congregation. The works of the Lord are
great, studied by all who have pleasure in
them." (Psalm 111:1-2)

This inspired Word of God sounds the note of
joy that we have at Trinity Lutheran Church,
Decatur, IL as we consider the many
blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon
our congregation ever since our founding on
East Johns Avenue in 1928. God has blessed
us with His pure word and the Sacraments of
Baptism and the Lord's Supper. He has
blessed us with the forgiveness of sins and
life and salvation as found in Christ Jesus
alone. He has given us the certain hope of
the resurrection of the body and the life
everlasting in heaven. He has given us every
earthly blessing to carry on our work of
ministry here at Trinity and our joint work at
the Lutheran School Association in Decatur.

Please join us in the Divine Service on Sunday mornings at 9:00 A.M.
followed by Sunday school and Adult Bible Class at 10:15 A.M. Here we receive
the food for our souls as the one true God gives us every spiritual blessing
through His Word and Holy Supper. Our services on Sunday morning are taken
from the Lutheran Service Book as we use the historic liturgy of the church. I
know that you will find a warm welcome here at Trinity. I also know that your
presence among us would be a real blessing to our congregation as together we
praise the Lord.
